About the Foundation

The Foundation ARS ANTIQUA RADOMIENSIS


The Foundation ARS ANTIQUA RADOMIENSIS is an organization operating on the basis of the rules described in the Foundations Act of 6.04.1984 (Dz.U.Nr46/91 p.203). The founder of the festival is Ewa Gęga-Osowska. The foundation is seated in the town of Radom. The Minister of Culture is chief supervisor.

Purposes and aims.

The purposes of the foundation are:

  1. To organize and continually develop the International Festivals of Early Music, named after Nicolaus of Radom. To honour the memory of Nicolaus of Radom and to restore him to his rightful place in the culture of our town, region and country.

The above purposes are realized through:

  1. Promotion of the works by Nicolaus of Radom during an annual International Festival of Early Music named after Nicolaus of Radom.
  2. Organization of concerts and lectures dedicated to this important composer of early music.
  3. Cultivating the roots of the Radom musical tradition by presenting works of Nicolaus of Radom.
  4. Development of cooperation between Polish and foreign ensembles in the form of symposia.
  5. Popularisation of every undertaking by propagating music culture amongst young people and children (organisation of word - dance - music shows)
  6. Helping young people and children from various backgrounds to develop their talent, by providing a caring and equal-chance music education through the initiation of early music groups.
  7. Establishing relations with, and coordination between scientific and cultural centres in Poland and abroad, with the aim of organizing the free exchange of talented young people and children.


The Foundation ARS ANTIQUA RADOMIENSIS contains over thirty members.
